Canada’s Business programs target candidates with significant managerial/business experience and skills. The federal and provincial governments help eligible business immigrants to start a business and obtain permanent residency in Canada.

Start up Visa - Do you have a great business idea? If you can get support for your start-up from a designated Canadian organization, and meet the requirements you can immigrate to Canada under this program.
Owner/Operator based LMIA based Work Permit - In this pathway, after a LMIA from Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC) is approved, the candidate can work as a business owner operator in his/her own business in Canada. A positive LMIA allows to apply for a Work Permit. It is a pathway for immigration for business people and their eligible family members.
Self employed Category - This program creates a great PR Pathway for eligible candidates. To apply under the self-employed category, you must have relevant experience in cultural activities, athletics or farm management.
Investor program - If you are an international investor, meet the relevant requirements and can contribute to the Canadian economy, you may be eligible to apply under the Investor Program.
Entrepreneur program - The Entrepreneur Program seeks to attract experienced business people from abroad who will will own and actively manage businesses in Canada and make a positive contribution to Canada’s economic development and create jobs.

A new system called Express Entry opened on January 1, 2015 to manage how people with skilled work experience can apply to immigrate to Canada. In order to qualify under Express Entry, an applicant must be eligible under one of the following immigration programs:

Investor program - If you are an international investor, meet the relevant requirements and can contribute to the Canadian economy, you may be eligible to apply under the Investor Program
Entrepreneur program - The Entrepreneur Program seeks to attract experienced business people from abroad who will make a positive contribution to Canada’s economic development and create jobs.
Self-employed program – To apply under the self-employed category, you must have relevant experience in cultural activities, athletics or farm management.
